Thank you SO much to The Lovely Find for featuring Leslie+Kent’s Blowing Rock Wedding, what an honor! This one is definitely up there as one of the loveliest I’ve been a part of. For their complete post and full list of vendors click HERE :).
Baby Boy Hutch. We can not wait to meet you. It has been a wild ride these past few months. You’re one active little man and we just can’t wait to see what you’re like on the outside of my belly. I am equally excited to see Hutch become a father. What a blessing. We got to spend some quality time photographing your journey with one of our favorite people, Cheyenne from The Schultzes–we can’t wait for you to meet her and her sweet family. Thank you to the Duke Mansion for allowing us to capture these memories on your beautiful grounds and for LRT for making me feel pretty with this big belly of mine :).
A few weeks ago, friends and family from near and far gathered to celebrate our baby boy. How great is that? We are so thankful. After I booked the date/venue, my good friend Sara Shelor (you may know her from this place) insisted and ripped the planning responsibility out of my control-freak-planner-grasp (not before I sent her some Pins, of course)–which I am very thankful for :). Pretty nice having some great friends who also happen to be vendors and creative minds to throw a fantastic shower! Lynette, Melissa, Amy, Sara, and Cheyenne–thank you times a million. It was so nice to attend an event as a guest and have so many surprises to ooh and ahh at! Our poor second child will never forgive you-ha :). What a special day it was. We are truly thankful for all of the love, support and prayers we’ve received through this pregnancy.
The ‘guest book’ were these adorable circles where guests wrote advice on different aspects of babies–some of the responses were quite hilarious! The food was all so delicious and fun–it was themed for things that ‘little boys’ would eat (chicken and waffles, mac n’ cheese etc.)
Just feeding each other cake, like we’re at a wedding. Love you Sara :).
Opening gifts was so fun! I have a lot of learning to do when it comes to all of this baby ‘stuff’! Mom graciously wrote down all of the gifts for me (think we look alike??).
Look who joined us 🙂
This lady right here. SO thankful I hired her as our wedding photographer almost 5 years ago now! You are a treasure.
This is our sweet boy’s Godmother–Margaux. She is my oldest friend in the world :).
Margaux+Fuad are getting married today. In France. And I’m not there. Today is such a bittersweet day for me. Margaux is my very very very best friend in the whole wide world. We have known each other since 5th grade and have remained incredibly close despite the fact that she moved back to Paris, France (from Florida) in the 7th grade, we went to different colleges and graduate schools and have never lived in the same place since we were 10-years-old. We were each others Maids/Matrons of honors…the best of friends.
Cut to wedding day. We had flights booked, but little Baby Boy Hutch has other plans. If there was ever one reason in the world to miss her wedding, the new life growing inside of me is ‘it’. I had the pleasure (and honor!) of going over to Paris in February to plan her wedding–she put a lot of trust in me to do it since she couldn’t come due to taking time off of work. I feel as though I will truly be there in spirit!
Congratulations to my Bizatch and Fuad as they begin their new life together as ‘one’ today. I love you both so much and Baby Boy Hutch is so lucky to have you as his Godparents. xoxo Photography by The Schultzes 🙂
Danielle+PJ’s big day is approaching! They will be my first wedding ‘back’ post-baby…and I have a feeling I’ll be MORE than ready to get back in to the game. These two just recently relocated from NYC to Charlotte–welcome home to the Queen City. Beautiful photography by Stephanie from Indigo Photography. Enjoy :).
