I feel like we are so so blessed with so much talent in the photography world here in Charlotte. Each year I get so excited to work (personally) with a different one to shoot the CFO and me. This year, Cunningham Photo Artists did not disappoint! Drea and Casey have always been such a pleasure to work with at real weddings, I was thrilled to have them shoot us for our holiday card this year. Drea had us cracking up the entire time–even Hutch had a great time (he always does, don’t let him fool you. He loves perfecting his Blue Steel in front of the camera). The theme this year– “Blessed” –we most certainly are. Here is our card below–Drea even chose the pictures and designed it for me! THANK YOU times a million! Hair and makeup by new mama LRT! xo
Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding: Lauren + Patrick
Ahhhh Lauren+Patrick….where do I start? Let’s put it this way, I cried introducing myself to everyone at their rehearsal (THE REHEARSAL)–and I am not a crier. They live in NYC and I wish every day that they would move down to Charlotte so we can hang out, truly I do. I have a lot of favorite ‘parts’ of this wedding–planning overall, my long-winded emails from the sweetest bride around, my conversations with the groom to talk about said long emails and scheme up surprises for Lauren (Patrick–you no doubt are already making an amazing husband to your amazing wife), their level of trust in me, how much they cared, how appreciate they were, the custom linens, the largest table/linen we’ve ever dreamed up…this list truly goes on. Dream clients, and I miss you two dearly. So much love and happiness for you both. xo
My amazing vendor team–there are no words. You always blow me away and it can’t happen with out YOU.
London 2013
Over Thanksgiving, the CFO and I took a trip to England! My mom is from England and my grandparents and extended family all still live there. It was time to pay them a visit. We started off the trip with a true English experience with my family and then spent the rest of the week in London for some more fun (and food). It has become clear to us that we base our vacation days around food, and we’re OK with that :).
I lived in London when I studied abroad there at the age of 19. It was so fun to go back and revisit the flat at 99 Great Russell Street. Truly it felt like a blast from the past–almost another life. Time surely has flown. Here are some pictures (in no particular order) that we took over the trip! Follow me on Instagram to see more! Cheerio! xo
Engaged: Danielle + PJ
Meet Danielle+PJ. These two are getting married next October 2014…that seems like a long way away but I’m still in disbelief that it is December. It’ll be here before we know it. Danielle is coming down from NYC soon for a few days full of vendor meetings-can’t wait :). Megan from Lime Green Photography shot some engagement photos of them while she was up in NYC. While she’s not shooting their wedding, we are so thankful to her for shooting these where the two live and share a life together. Enjoy!
Featured: Japan!
Thanks to Zexy Premiere for the feature of the patriotic shoot we did last year! How exciting to be featured internationally! See the original shoot HERE, and also on Style Me Pretty HERE.
