{Video} Mint Museum Uptown Wedding: Katie+Chris

Timm Young Films is definitely one of my favorite vendors in Charlotte. Timm and his team are top-notch professionals and cool as cucumbers. I never have to worry about them because they never miss a beat! Enjoy a little sneak peek in to Katie+Chris’ big day! 🙂

{Inspired} Mint Museum Wedding: Cassie+Matt

Cassie+Matt are set to marry this Friday at the Mint Museum Uptown. Their simplistic style coupled with their insanely good looks will make for another knock-out wedding at one of my favorite Uptown locations. Whites, charcoals, pale yellow, coasters as escort cards and lit trees will decorate this event beautifully. I can’t wait to watch it all come+together! Photo Credit: Kristin Vining Photography

Weekend in NYC

It’s no secret that we like to travel–a lot. It’s one of the biggest attractions and commonalities the CFO and I share with each other. We both work a ton, and traveling is our way to reconnect and bond. We love it.  I surprised the CFO with a weekend in NYC for his birthday present. I promised him we could go and visit as much as he wants…just as long as I don’t have to live in a closet-sized apartment for $3,000/month. 🙂 We had a great weekend, but were more than happy to return home to Charlotte Sunday night. Our home. Here’s a little picture recap of our weekend:
We did a lot of cuddling with our nephew, Heyward–the Upper West Side Wein! It was Pride week in the city with a lot of amazing rainbow decor and a parade to boot! There were rooftop drinks at Empire Hotel, shopping, eating, walking, people watching (my favorite thing to do in new places!), Central Park and more eating. If I were to ever move to NYC, I’d definitely want to live at address 264 1/2–how cute is that!?

David Whitlow knocked this out of the park! Please enjoy! 🙂

{Inspired} Duke Mansion Wedding Inspiration: Presidential Election

When Theo, from Theo Milo Photography, contacted me to do an inspiration shoot with him, I jumped for joy! I love Theo’s style…and you know what I love even more? When vendors give me total and complete artistic freedom. He put the ball in my court to do something new and creative–whatever I wanted (squeal!). So, I was flying to Boston one day and was looking around on the plane to see what was ‘relevant’…what were people talking about…what was going on NOW. Ding ding ding–The Presidential Election. It was on every iPad and every page of the newspaper I saw people reading on the plane. I took the idea, pitched it to Theo (who again, said “if you like it, I’ll shoot it!), and ran with it. Thanks to the amazing team of vendors who helped it all come+together! The inspiration for the shoot can be seen HERE. Enjoy!

Melissa from Athenuem Creative helped to bring the vision to life by incorporating buttons (like you’d see during campaigns), having ‘red, green and blue party’ choices on the RSVP cards for menu options, and more details than possible to name. She even let us borrow her puppy because every President and First Lady have a First Dog–keep scrolling. 🙂
